CENTRI–MAXX® Centrifugal Rug Wringer

CENTRUM FORCE® is proud to introduce the world’s first "Dual Port" area rug wringing centrifuge with an 18" diameter and 14’ cylinder. In area rug moisture extraction, this machine is state of the art.

SP–12 Features

The Centri–Maxx® with a 12’ length cylinder version has the same industrial American made construction as the 14.5’ dual port model. This model has a single port entry/exit for rugs with a 16" cylinder diameter that is 12’ in length. (Note: Includes all the other basic features of the original big Centri–Maxx®––timed spin cycles, dynamic braking, a see through protective door, and emergency stop override switches. It runs on either 240v 3 phase or 220v single phase.

As a fabrication company, we can custom–build specialized equipment for rug washing plants.

US Patented vibration isolators are installed on every Centri–Maxx®.

These allow for a non–bolt down installation.

Absolutely NO machine walking or annoying floor vibrations.

The isolators further reduce vibration––a truly useful enhancement, which complements an already desirable piece of serious rug washing equipment.

Centri Maxx

Designed and made in America, with American made components. The current manufacturing location is in Southeast Michigan.

The dimensional and weight specifications for the 14’ long model are as follows:

40" wide, 50" tall and approximately 14.5’ long. Total weight is 4500 lbs.

Electric power requirements:

Minimum 100 amp service to the facility. The Centri–Maxx® will run either on 3 phase power 230 v or single phase 220 v. Please check with us for specifics when planning a purchase.

Unique features include:

An 18" machined steel, marine epoxy cylinder gives the cylinder a fifty–year life span. This coating gives the cylinder a slippery surface allowing wet rolled rugs to glide in easily.

The 18" cylinder diameter will assist with loading and unloading of small and large rugs. The greater diameter accommodates the larger rugs found in today’s marketplace. The ability to access the unit from both ends allows proper positioning of larger rugs so they can be efficiently wrung out. This feature permits two rugs to be loaded from each end simultaneously––thus maximizing use of power and human resources.

Testimonial:

A group of rug cleaners from across North America accepted a personal invitation to view the operation of Centri–Maxx® at our facility. Some had experience with different types of carpet extractors. Some employed those used in the textile laundry washing environment; others used compression wringers. They saw for themselves the ease of Centri–Maxx®’s operation and functionality of design. Plant owners and operators agreed the machine would make a significant contribution to their industry. Therefore, they have acquired them.

Naturally, this conclusion was welcomed by one of the chief designers and members of CENTRUM FORCE®, LLC, Greg Turcotte. He had stressed the importance of using centrifugal technology for many years. Greg’s work on the Centri–Maxx® horizontal centrifuge led to fundamental improvements in rug wringing technology.

Tom Monahan, also a member of Centrum Force®, LLC, states: "The elimination of post fringe cleaning is all but realized with Centri–Maxx®’s ability to remove most of the water from a rug. Drying time for rugs is thus reduced significantly, saving energy costs and permitting a quick turnaround service for the customer. This machine is a time and money saving device that should be in every serious rug cleaning facility."

The Emergence of the Design:

Greg Turcotte and Tom Monahan had many years of experience in rug cleaning companies. In December 2006, they agreed to build and market a totally new design in horizontal rug wringing. Greg and Tom consulted rug cleaners, machine fabricators and engineers to help them produce the most efficient design–always with the needs of the end user in mind. These meetings gave birth to Centrum Force®.

By popular request, CENTRUM FORCE® located the cylinder only 18" off the floor to facilitate rug loading from a wash floor or pool. They purposely designed their own proprietary drive system to allow for a truly revolutionary ’dual port’ horizontal centrifuge (currently Patent Pending).

The machine is unique and pioneered five new concepts:
Proprietary drive system
An 18" cylinder
Dual Port accessibility
A 14’ length cylinder (longer if desired)
Single phase 220 v or three phase 230 v.

Other Design Features:

The drive system is currently powered by an American made Baldor 10 hp motor with a switch knob for adjusting power in increments from 25% to 100%. Emergency stop switches on either end of the machine instantly prevent the cylinder from spinning. There is also a control feature allowing the cylinder to spin in reverse.

This unit is available in custom lengths. For most in–plant applications, a 14’ unit may be optimum.

Currently, it takes eight weeks from order to delivery.

Please call for details.

Since May 2008, the standard cylinder length has become 14 feet to accommodate rugs 14 feet wide and over 20 feet long. Priced at only $48,000, this is truly the world’s largest dual port rug wringing centrifuge.
