CENTRUM FORCE™ is proud to introduce the world's first "Dual Port" rug wringing Centrifuge with an 18" diameter 13' cylinder! Note: Orders starting in May 2008 receive a standard 14' cylinder!
Made in America, with American engineering and constructed with American made components, by American owned companies. The current manufacturing location is in Southeast Michigan.
The dimensional and weight specifications for the 13' long model are as follows:
56" wide 50" tall and approximately 13' long. Total weight is 4800 lbs.
Electric power requirements:
Minimum 100 amp service to the facility. The Centri-Maxx™ will run either on 3 phase power 230 v or single phase 220 v. Check with us for specifics when planning a purchase.
Unique features include:
An 18" machined steel cylinder. Galvanized to give the cylinder a 50 year life span. To make it even better, the cylinder is coated with an industrial epoxy that will provide 50 years of service under normal conditions. This additional coating gives the cylinder a slippery surface for wet rolled rugs to glide in easy.
To insure smooth running at high speeds, the cylinder has been balanced.
The 18' cylinder diameter will assist with loading and unloading of both small and large rugs. This larger size diameter accommodates the larger rugs featured in today's marketplace. The ability to access the unit from both ends, allows for proper positioning of larger rugs so they can be wrung out successfully. This added feature will also allow two rugs to be loaded simultaneously from each end respectively to maximize efficiency of use of power and human resources.
Testimonial:
A select few rug cleaners across North America, came to Michigan and seized upon an early personal invitation to view the operation of Centri-Maxx™ at our facility. Some of them had experience using different types of wringers. Some used those found in the textile laundry washing environment, others used compression wringers. However, these invited few got an early opportunity to witnessed for themselves the ease of Centri-Maxx™'s operation and design. The general consensus was that this machine is functionally simple! It was agreed by the different plant owners and operators that this machine will fit a great need in the industry!
Naturally, this agrees with one of the chief designers and a member of Centrum Force™, LLC Greg Turcotte. He has experienced the importance of using centrifugal technology for the past 4 years.
Tom Monahan, also a member of Centrum Force™, LLC concludes, "The elimination of post fringe cleaning is all but realized with Centri-Maxx™'s ability to remove most of the water from a rug. Drying time from rugs is thus reduced significantly, saving energy costs and permits a quick turnaround service for the customer. This machine is a time and money saving device that should be in every serious rug cleaning facility."
The Emergence of the Design:
Greg Turcotte and Tom Monahan collaborated in December of 2006 to bring to market a totally new design in horizontal rug wringing. Both men have rug cleaning companies with many years experience in cleaning. This past December's meeting gave birth to Centrum Force™. They consulted rug cleaners, machine fabricators and engineers to help provide the best possible design with the end user, in mind. Due to majority consensus, Centrum Force™ purposely located the cylinder only 18' off the floor to facilitate rug loading from a wash floor or pool. They purposely designed their own proprietary drive system to allow for a truly revolutionary 'dual port' horizontal centrifuge.
This machine is truly one of a kind and a first for the industry in 5 ways:
1st: An 18" cylinder
2nd: 13' length cylinder, and longer if desired
3rd: Dual Port accessibility
4th: Proprietary drive system
5th: Made available to work in single phase 220 v or 3 phase 230 v.
Other Design Features:
The drive system is currently powered by an American made Baldor 10 hp motor. A switch knob exists for adjusting increments of power from 25% to full 100%. There is a stop button, and emergency stop switches on either end of the machine to shut done the cylinder spinning right away. There is a control feature that allows you to spin the cylinder in reverse too.
This amazing unit is available in custom lengths. For most in-plant applications, a 13' unit may be optimum.
Please note: The prototype unit in the following picture is shown without safety port doors installed. This is to illustrate the dual port advantage of CENTRI-MAXX™ clearly. All units when sold have see-through doors installed. The doors must be closed for the system to engage and run. |
